OUTBACK ANGEL (5) settled well back and never threatened when beaten 4 lengths into ninth at her latest outing over 5½f at Hawkesbury. John Kissick has a good strike rate aboard this four-year-old mare so a big run is expected. WILBURY (1) could only manage fifth two runs back then improved last start but found one better over 5f at Orange, beaten only 1.3 lengths after being in the firing line on the turn. Finds a suitable race and can take the next step and salute. CLIFTON SPRINGS (9) will find this a little easier than his last run just eight days ago when seventh over 6f at Wyong. No surprise to see him back in form this time. EPAULLO CREED (6) comes here off a break of four-and-a-half months. Worth noting he filled a minor placing when returning from a lay-off last prep over 6f at Goulburn. Has to be respected.
