Placed in a recent trial. Has ability and sure to prove tough to beat. SPELLHOUND (12) was lining up for just the second time last start when second over 5f at Sunshine Coast Poly, beaten 4.5 lengths. Will snag back from this draw but has a strong finish. Heading the right way and ready to find form. ABENDER (1) settled well back when 5.5 lengths from the winner in ninth over 6f at Eagle Farm last start, a less impressive effort than his fourth on debut at Gold Coast the run before. Looks well placed so expect a big run this time. SHAQUE D'AMOUR (11) is close to a win after a string of minor placings, the latest when second over 4f at Ipswich. Likely to be about the money again.
