SKY OUT (3) is a distance specialist who missed the placings when resuming two runs back then didn't feature last start when 5.5 lengths away in seventh over 1m2 1/2f at Cranbourne. Finds a tougher race but he has the talent to test this line-up. FIRST APPEARANCE (10) showed little early speed from an outside draw last time then wound up strongly to score a nose win over 1m2f at Pakenham. Among the main hopes. OLNEY (9) was out of the money when resuming from a lay-off last start over 1m at Sandown-Hillside, beaten 4.5 lengths. Likely improver with top-three prospects.
