PONDALOWIE (3) finished out of the money when fresh from a lay-off two starts back then she was always well out of her ground and was beaten 3 lengths when fourth over 5½f at Caulfield five weeks ago. Likely improver with strong prospects. MATERIAL DREAMS (5) finished third at this track two runs back but didn't measure up last time over 6f at this track, finishing 3.5 lengths back in eighth. Must raise the bar but she has the ability to test this field. WRITTEN BLIGH (7) had been in sparkling form winning two races on end but missed the frame most recently when ninth over 6f at this track. Has a high cruising speed. Don't underestimate.
