GRAND EAGLE (2) is a two-start maiden who placed on debut then could only manage fourth last start, beaten 2.25 lengths over 6f at Newcastle. The blinkers go on. Well placed and happy to have him on top. CHICAMA (4) was well held in the Golden Gift won by North England over 5½f at Rosehill at his last appearance five months ago. Big chance in this class. TELLING (1) pushed forward and was a determined winner by 0.8 lengths over 5f at Muswellbrook last time out. Meets a tougher line-up this time but is not to be discounted.
