DEEP DAWN (8) was popular in betting last time out but after being prominent at the turn disappointed in finishing fourth over 7f at Sunshine Coast, beaten 2.25 lengths. Finds a suitable assignment this time and is a great chance to break through. CASTERLY ROCK (1) is yet to break through after seven career starts. Could only manage to finish fourth last time out over 6¾f at Doomben following a minor placing at Sunshine Coast when fresh from a lay-off the run prior. Cannot be left out of calculations. O'CALDINO (4) was out of the money when resuming two runs back then again missed the frame last start over 1m at Sunshine Coast, beaten 3.5 lengths into fourth. Finds a tougher race but a win is not out of the question. FIRE AND LIGHT (2) is a 12-start maiden who wasn't far away last time when second over 1m1f at Eagle Farm on March 26. Will appreciate a drop in grade. Has to be respected in this company.
