PERFECT GOLD (4) opened this prep with a win two runs ago. Less impressive last time out when fifth over 6½f at Sandown-Hillside, beaten 3.5 lengths. Faces an easier assignment so she is a leading contender. SNAPPY PIERRO (10) was in the money two starts back at Bendigo but couldn't back it up last time when sixth, beaten 5.5 lengths, at Ballarat over 7f. This doesn't look as hard so she can find the winners' list. ESTRAPAZ (1) showed good early dash and raced on the speed at the first run back from a break last start before fading to finish 4.5 lengths back in sixth over 6f at Cranbourne. Will give backers a sight. LOVIN' LAUGHS (2) pushed forward from a wide draw last time out and found the front, holding the lead for most of the way and sticking on well to finish third over 7f at Ballarat. Has ability and a bold showing is expected.
