BRITISH POET (2) showed little early speed last start and failed to come on in the straight when seventh, beaten 12 lengths, over 6½f at Cranbourne. Finds a nice race and can turn things around. WOMEN IN UNIFORM (11) did very well to fill a minor placing when resuming at Cranbourne but raced below expectations last time over 7f at Cranbourne, finishing sixth and beaten 8 lengths. Has the talent to take this out. AMAPOLA (8) accounted for a maiden field over 7f58yards at Kyneton last start, finishing half a length ahead of the nearest rival. Re-unites with Zac Spain who was on board last start. Harder task ahead this time but can measure up. PODARGONI (4) got off the mark over 7f at Terang last start, scoring by 1.3 lengths. Is lightly raced and has plenty of scope for improvement. Must be respected now that the penny has dropped.
