EL CARDINAL (8) is back at the races for the first time since December 8. Worth noting he filled a minor placing when returning from a lay-off last prep over 5½f at this track. Rates highly and is likely to be prominent. VORTEX (3) is having his first run since November 26. Goes very well when fresh with two wins from three starts, the latest over 6f at Louisiana Downs at the start of last prep. One of the genuine hopes in the race. GETTIN SPICY (4) finished out of the money two starts back then he was always well out of his ground and was beaten 7 lengths when seventh over 4½f at Charles Town a month ago. Finds the right race this time and can find winning form. BAZOO (2) has not appeared since he finished second over 5½f at this track (Dirt) on June 30. Has a strong when resuming record, scoring on two occasions from four starts. Makes plenty of appeal.
