PINCHBECK (2) resumes from a lay-off of nine weeks after closing off last campaign with three consecutive minor placings. A bold showing is anticipated. TESTA DEXTA (3) has a moderate winning strike-rate but performed well last time at Balaklava, finishing fourth and only 1.2 lengths from the winner at the end of 7f when he made late ground. Finds a suitable assignment and can get the job done. REDWINELOVER (9) ran a better race last start, finishing 2.75 lengths away in sixth over 7f at Oakbank. Better than recent efforts suggest.
