Better placed in this company and is one of the major players. PRINCE KURO (6) finished 3 lengths from the winner in fifth last start over 5½f at Port Macquarie, an improvement on his ninth at Beaumont (Newcastle) the run before. Well placed and there is no reason he cannot find winning ways. CRUCIAL WITNESS (3) finished 11th two runs back at Wagga then improved last time out to score by 1.5 lengths as favourite over 6f at this track. Must raise the bar but another win beckons. MISSILE MAIDEN (4) was in the money two starts back at Bathurst but was unable to repeat the effort last time when sixth, beaten 3.5 lengths, at Gundagai over 5f196yards. Has her share of ability and can do a lot better.
