I AM VELVET (4) didn't make an impact at her last run before going for a lay-off on 16/11/2024, finishing fourth and beaten 4 lengths over 7f in the G3 Blue Sapphire Stakes at Caulfield. Has recorded two wins when when resuming from a break. Has ability and should be right in the finish. LULU DARLING (1) did little and finished 5 lengths from the winner in seventh over 6½f at Sandown-Hillside last start after being in the firing line on the turn, a less impressive effort than her when resuming fifth at Pakenham the run before. Suitably placed so anticipating a big run this time. HAPPY LINK (6) returns after a lay-off of six-and-a-half months. Started the last campaign in good style when in the placings over 6f at Geelong. Has to be respected. MADAM INSTRIFE (7) resumed over 5f and turned in a fair run to finish eighth at Sandown-Hillside. Yet to miss the frame over this longer journey and should be much improved.
