Finds a suitable assignment and can turn things around. SMART SHOT (6) returned from a lay-off three-and-a-half weeks ago when he was beaten 3.5 lengths into eighth over 7f at this track. Has a fair record when second up, including two top-three finishes. Faces an easier assignment so he will prove hard to beat. INVASIVE DREAMS (8) made significant late ground last start to get up for third over 6¾f at Wyong. Should be winding up late again. RED BERYL (11) missed the placings two runs back then didn't do any better last start when 7 lengths away in sixth over 6f at this track. Better than recent efforts suggest.
