MAXANDUS (3) faced the starter for the first time and finished fifth last start at this track over 5f, beaten 2.25 lengths. Will improve and looks well placed. KAWATIRI (9) had been racing okay but she was safely held last time out when ninth over 5½f at Armidale. Better than that and can feature on her best form. PARISSIDENT (6) finished 2 lengths from the winner in fourth last start over 5½f at Armidale, an improvement on her when resuming sixth at this track the run before. Needs to be at her best to beat this field but she is good enough to play a major role. GOODFUN (7) is back after a break of eight months. At the last run before the layoff she finished sixth over 4¾f at Moree. Rates highly on best form and a bright return wouldn't surprise.
