SURPRSINGLYPERFECT (3) produced a reasonable effort when second last start after being in the firing line on the bend over 1m at this track, beaten 2.5 lengths. That followed a win at this track the start prior. Kevin Krigger is a key engagement. Ideally placed and is sure to take plenty of stopping. THIEF IN THE NIGHT (6) was among the placings on the turf over 1m at this track in a but couldn't find the top-three on the same surface last time out, finishing eighth over 1m at this track. Strong contender back on the dirt. Worth another chance. SECRET POTION (2) did little and finished 5.5 lengths from the winner in fifth over 1m at this track last start, a less impressive effort than his fourth at this track the run before. This is a nice drop in grade so he is likely to play a big role. SHAUN'S JAZZ (1) did a great job to score by 1.3 lengths over this course and distance last start in a far better run. Needs to be at his best to beat this field but he deserves plenty of thought.
