OBSIDIAN (9) recorded a strong maiden win over 7f at Turffontein Standside last time, getting there by 2.5 lengths. Sparingly raced and has more to offer. Looks well placed and he looks certain to measure up again. SAFE SPACE (7) is racing well and is close to a win, the latest effort a solid third at Turffontein Inside over 1m2f. Meeting a tougher field but on his best form he is capable of testing his rivals. WILLOW EXPRESS (2) finished out of the money two starts back then was beaten 2.5 lengths when fourth in a 7½f contest at this track three-and-a-half weeks ago. Has started three times at this course and distance and is yet to miss the placings. The engagement of Craig Zackey is noteworthy. Finds a nice race and can feature in the finish. DOUGLAS DRAGON (4) was last at the races when he finished fifth over 1m2f at Turffontein Standside on February 1. Yet to miss the placings here in an excellent record which boasts two wins and three placings. Has to be respected.
